What If…?

What if there is nothing wrong with me?  What if there is nothing wrong with you?

apocalypse-statue-of-libertyIn this very difficult and scary time when the world we thought we knew seems to be disintegrating it becomes important to ground and center in spiritual truth.  No, I am not advocating a head in the sand, ignore the pain, and pretend everything is happening for the best attitude.  I’m suggesting that we reinforce our relationship with our humanity, with our inner goodness, with our strength of character.  I am suggesting we remember and ground ourselves in the benefactor qualities of the human race.

Because we can imagine and act on our imagination humans have created many amazing, beautiful, and positive things in this world.  We have also created, through imagination and action, genocide, poverty, destruction, hatred, bigotry, and war.  As we know the beginning of both heaven and hell reside in the use of our own mind.  It resides in the way we think and speak of others and the way we think and speak about ourselves.  As we become overwhelmed by hearing and seeing the dark side of human behavior let us also look for and listen to the good in our young people, in the actions of our brothers and sisters around the globe.  Let us remember that hard times call for heroic action.  The heroes of old are calling your name.  Many children, women, and men are listening and responding in protection, compassion, and a renewed sense of purpose.  Protecting all of life we nurture and defend what is precious.

hand-846092_1280-2-custom-1Here are some things to consider as you cultivate the hero within you:

*You are living your life the best you know how and attempting to get better every day.

*You make mistakes, like everyone else, which allows you to gain wisdom.

*You’re unique, whether you’re introverted or extroverted, practical or a dreamer, technical or artistic, book smart or street smart…however you are…you are the only person just like you on the planet.

*If you do what you enjoy and don’t harm other beings, you’re living a beautiful life.

*You will never become someone because you already are someone.

*If someone hurt, you…you didn’t deserve it…no one does…and it didn’t happen because of karma.

*It’s OK to feel your emotions and respond to them.  If you need to improve the way you respond; well everyone could use some improvement in that area.

Chaos, confusion, darkness, fear, anger, grief…these are all perfectly understandable emotions in this time of upheaval and potential destruction of the values we were taught was the American Way.  The Buddha once said, being with what is we can respond (not react) to what is.  We respond by knowing who and what we love- the Earth, the animals, the children, compassion, generosity, and fearlessness.  We respond by maintaining the knowledge of our inner goodness and working to create a world we can proudly leave to our children.

And if, like the Jedi, many of us are destroyed, then like the Jedi we will rise again and defeat the darkness of hatred, greed, and anger.  The Force is with us!  We are unstoppable!

Sowing Spirit Seeds

One of the seeds of Spirit is inspiration. Gift giving is representative of a caring and loving heart.  It is all based on being inspired to give of the self.  This is difficult to do when we don’t feel love, joy, or peace.

inspirationWhy did we forget that we were born to love?  Things happened.  People were unkind to us.  We were not taught to release our fears to Divine Mother and Father. Yet our work of Spirit is to an inspiration of love.

Many of us interface with our family of origin because of obligation or duty.  Perhaps it’s time to be inspired to forgive the past hurts, criticisms, and disappointments.  Perhaps it’s time to rediscover the love we brought with us from Spirit.    Generosity is not bargaining; it’s giving away whether that person gives back or not.  Instead of keeping score, let’s be inspired to love and forgive.

When we are focused on the past mosPower-of-Forgiveness1t of what we remember is what we don’t like about that past.  We are beings of Light.  Everything is possible for us even forgiving ancient wrongs.  Love is forever within us so that all we have to do is remember that love instead of the old stories of sorrow and pain.  Pain can be forgotten.  May we be inspired to express the loving, joyous spirit that we were born to be.

It helps to start the day with meditation.  If we don’t have time to pray and connect with the Great Being within, we have just screwed up our day.  When we are thinking crabby, depressed, anxious thoughts we will probably be giving them away.  When we start our day with a reminder that we are here to create love, to live life fully in grace our day will be filled with laughter, love, and inner peace.

It’s important to focus on whatever we wish more of in our lives.  When we pray, we are reminding ourselves of what is possible.   Nothing is impossible for Divine Father and Mother.  Prayer aligns our mind and emotions with Spirit’s truth, Spirit’s story.  We may have to repeat these reminders because we have a short attention span.

If we want to create something positive we must do something to make it happen.  After 2000 years we are still praying for peace.  Why?  Maybe because we think prayer is enough.  Maybe we have to create peace in our lives before it can manifest in the world around us.  To create peace- we could forgive others; forgive ourselves; do something nice for the neighbor we most dislike; or stand with a peace vigil.  There is always something we can do.

049-letitshine-1440x900-BThoughts don’t count unless they lead to action.  Wouldn’t it be nice if …but people are hungry, dying, and unloved.  Thoughts don’t count until we act upon those thoughts.  Perhaps we could foster a cheerful attitude whether we feel like it or not.  A virtue is something we cultivate that isn’t natural to us.

When we are truly align with Spirit’s energy we must feel something or we are wasting our time.  We have to feel something to have power with that something.  Sad thoughts weaken us; happy thoughts strengthen us.  Feel deeply Divine Mother’s will, Divine Father’s peace, Great Weavers healing-and act to manifest that truth!  Think, feel, be in alignment with Divine Mother and Father’s will and act from that place of inner rightness!

If we don’t sow the seeds of eternity, we might find that our earthly experience is filled with suffering.  Find a saint to emulate.  Look until you find one you can relate to.  Be the saint you are capable of being.  You can if you will.  What do I resolve to do that Spirit wants me to do?  What do I want more of in my life?  Think it.  Feel it.  And Act on it. Sow the Seeds of Eternity and reap the harvest of love and joy- over, and over, and over again.
